Get ready for the future, because NASA found an “ultra-cool dwarf” star, named TRAPPIST-1, about 40 light-years (235 trillion miles) from Earth. Not only that, seven Earth-sized planets are orbiting TRAPPIST-1.
All of the planets might possibly have liquid water, and three of them could also have the right temperature needed for life. NASA has never found more habitable planets around one single star.
”This discovery could be a significant piece in the puzzle of finding habitable environments, places that are conducive to life,” one NASA scientist explained.
Of course, Twitter had some thoughts about the discovery, and the illustrations of what the planets might look like.
A lot of people are ready for a vacation.
Does that mean aliens?
Either way, we could use a vacation from this planet.
